Director of Sales


The following is a summary of the general nature and level of work performed by the staff member in this position. This description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

The Sales Administrative Assistant provides professional administrative support for sales activities and operations and is responsible for execution of administrative tasks, including but not limited to: clerical work, answer phones, database entry, correspondence, prepare reports, support sales activations, documentation and software database entry.


Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide administrative support to two executives, Director of Sales and Assistant Director of Sales, Sales Managers and Sales Operations Coordinators
  • Provide clerical support, which may require discretion and confidentiality
  • Maintain working knowledge of department procedures, database software, desktop publishing, word processing, and other software systems
  • Responsible for the support and coordination of internal departmental meetings and trainings
  • Maintain friendly and professional demeanor with all internal and external customers
  • Work a schedule consisting of five consecutive days Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week, with occasional pre-approved overtime


Education and Experience

Associate’s (AA) degree in a relevant field of study. Prefer two (2) years direct experience within an office or administrative setting, including one (1) year of administrative experience, preferably in hospitality or related area. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Requires proficiency in Microsoft® Office applications. Prefer experience with Ungerboeck Event Management software, and desktop publishing applications (MS Publisher, InDesign, or similar).

  • Background using computer, fax, email, smart devices and general office equipment, including laptop computers
  • Experience with basic database software and data entry
  • Outstanding oral communication, interpersonal skills and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain respectful working relationships with co-workers and clients 
  • Must be able to work with and maintain highly confidential information
  • Ability to work simultaneously with a variety of vested interest groups and to foster cooperation within those groups
  • Ability to anticipate problems and implement immediate corrective action
  • Requires ability to successfully work with a high degree of flexibility and patience; as well as, the ability work closely with staff throughout the facility and must be able to maintain a productive, team-oriented relationship
